The process

Initial meeting / consultation

Every project starts with an in-house consultation where we discuss your needs and dreams. If you have any sketches, saved photos or even Pinterest boards, we’ll go through them and make sure we completely understand your vision. This is also when we’ll begin preliminary discussions about the budget, timeframe, and technical aspects of your project.

This consultation generally takes about an hour, depending on the size and complexity of your project. The goal is to ensure that we’re able to provide the best concept for you. After this first step, we’ll follow up as soon as possible with the preliminary proposal.

Preliminary design

Based on our initial meeting, we’ll begin a preliminary design solution which we’ll present to you as a 3D render or storyboard, depending on the type of project.

After we review the design and reach the final solution with you, we’ll also review the preliminary estimate and schedule the construction phases.


During the design phase, our architects will refine the conceptual plan and develop a detailed set of blueprints for the construction. Based on these blueprints, together with our partners, we are preparing the starting of the construction. Also, in this phase, we secure all necessary permits, surveys and engineering documents.

Construction phase

The construction phase starts with a kick-off meeting between the architecture and project manager, together with all the trade partners.

Ordering and shipment of the various materials begins according to the predefined timeline. At this point, work can begin.

Each day, the construction site will be supervised by our project manager and you will receive regular status updates of the project. Of course, every time you want to visit the construction site, we’ll guide you through the project and answer any questions that you might have.

Closeout phase

After the construction phase is completed, and before we declare the project closed, we thoroughly inspect all details to ensure they meet and exceed our expected high level of quality.

If needed, a “snag list” will be created and we’ll implement resolutions for all identified problems. Then, we clean the site and you can enjoy your new home!
